ONE FORM ENTRY CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH NURSERY. OFSTED OUTSTANDING

A life well lived is one with purpose, and ours is to serve our children, instil a love of learning and inspire a search for truth. The learning journey is not one we undertake on our own; it takes a village to raise a child and it takes the community to educate ours. We look forward to your partnership on this road with us.

Worship at St Saviour's

SIAMS 2023: Excellent

"The Christian vision at St Saviour’s has a striking impact on the everyday life of the school."

A long history of serving the community in Poplar

The story or St Saviour’s is a mirror for the themes that have shaped life in Poplar since Victorian times. The original building in Northumbria Street was built in 1865. Rising high above the slums, it was intended as a beacon of learning and advancement in a disadvantaged and poor area. Damaged by air raids in the Blitz, the old school was finally demolished and a new building erected in Chrisp Street in the 1950’s.

I've learned that with faith and hard work anything is possible

I have so many fond memories from the pitch where my love of football started, to the classrooms where I learned about so many different things, from Shakespeare to fun scientific experiments. It was great to speak to Year 6 and hear about all their career aspirations and dreams for the future. I've learned that with faith and hard work anything is possible. All the support and help from St Saviour's was invaluable and helped shape me along my personal and academic journey so far.
